Awards

Since the early days of DAMAC Properties, the organisation has continually received recognition and accolades for its contribution to the real estate development sector.

Having now received over 100 global awards and commendations, for everything from high-rise architecture and interior design to excellence in hospitality and international golf course communities, DAMAC only goes from strength to strength.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

The Hussain Sajwani – DAMAC Foundation (HSDF) was born from a deeply rooted commitment to give back to the community that has given the organisation so much. While our focus is on education and youth empowerment, we also engage in charitable initiatives that provide a wide range of assistance that benefit the underserved and marginalised sectors of society.

HSDF has pledged AED5 million to the ‘1 Billion Meals’ campaign launched at the start of Ramadan 2022, aimed at providing food parcels for disadvantaged individuals and families across 50 countries. In a bid to allow those who digressed in conduct a second chance at life, the Foundation will collaborate with Dubai Police under an initiative called ‘Fresh Slate’ to aid detainees at the Dubai’s Punitive and Correctional Institutions charged with petty offences.

The Foundation also contributed to the Dubai Schools Project, allocating AED20 million to go towards tuition for Emirati youth in need. Additionally, in partnership with the Dubai Future Foundation HSDF supports the ‘One Million Arab Coders’ Initiative’ that was launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, to provide software development training to one million people across the Arab world. Other humanitarian causes that the Foundation supports include support for the Al Hadaf Centre for People of Determination, Dubai Autism Centre, and Al-Tariq Rehabilitation Centre as well as the Arab Hope Makers initiative.

We will soon announce a scholarship programme that will provide assistance to Emirati students facing financial difficulties as well as a programme to support young entrepreneurs with support from a trusted finance institution. Our CSR activities will continue to remain pivotal in our mission and vision, for both DAMAC and the Sajwani family.

About DAMAC - the message of Hussain Sajwani

The DAMAC Properties story runs in tandem with the UAE’s journey to becoming the world’s foremost trade, hospitality and lifestyle destination.

In 2002, Dubai’s leadership opened up the real estate market to international investors by allowing freehold ownership. DAMAC Properties was incorporated the same year, and purchased land for its very first project in the Dubai Marina area.

Since then, DAMAC has become synonymous with iconic projects setting new standards for design, craftsmanship and inspired lifestyles.

Today, DAMAC Properties enjoys a position of trust, established over years of uncompromising quality. We have consistently stuck to a mantra of sound design and attention to the small details that make a home special. I am proud that the DAMAC brand – home-grown in the UAE – is now recognised in international markets stretching from Saudi Arabia to London.

We genuinely appreciate what our country and our communities have done for us. In turn, our corporate social responsibility ethos and culture of philanthropy demand that we give back. Through initiatives such as the Hussain Sajwani – DAMAC Foundation, we engage with our communities in ways that alleviate hardship, respond to urgent need, and deliver the skills and learning required for a sustainable future.

On behalf of DAMAC, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the visionary rulers of the UAE. It is their progressive vision and efforts that have made the UAE the nation it is today.

I am also incredibly grateful to our community of employees, partners and shareholders. Thank you for supporting us in creating exceptional lifestyle experiences, and for believing in our ability to create flourishing communities. Our successes would not be possible without your commitment.

Finally, and most importantly, I’d like to express my appreciation to our customers, without whom we could never have achieved so much. Quite simply, you inspire us to do even better.
